Singers of found new forms of ?Get Discovered? without having to wait in line on American Idol
by: nick daugherty
New websites allows anyone with an internet connection, a microphone and a camera to Web for his shot to stardom. You audition, decides to America...

October 6, 2006 - the next American Idol can never show. He or she can never see Randy, Paula or Simon before, create a fan base around the world their own his own record contract and becoming a bit of a celebrity. And all this without leaving the House.

Websites as Bix.com provides anyone the ability to send their own results of video karaoke free online 24/7. Simply choose the song you want on your list, sing in your webcam and video loads automatically in your site. Then ask some friends to vote for you, and suddenly you can find online a major nationwide singing contest with executives from record label watching every movement of his.

It can be an enormous boost to his career as singer without all the complications (time, energy, travel) necessary for American Idol.

First hand know that people pass by during trial, versions because I am one of them.

Not sure whether is the "get rich quickly" or "overnight success" mentality or only chance to get on TV, but each year, more than 100,000 people try to shows talent as American Idol.? Add in "Dancing with the Stars", or "Rock star: Supernova", and that number grows closer than half a million!

People ask me all they tried to time why's. "Why put yourself in all that?", ask. "Do really believe that you are a singer better than the other 10,000 people stood in line with?"

Telling the truth, that elusive for fame chance. It's like playing the lottery. You know can zero 100 entries and Victoria still nothing, but that little voice inside of his head, he said, "Yes, but what happens if you try just once more?" "Only could get big."

"What if Simon picks him?" "What if you the final round and suddenly all America knows his name and his hometown and just how good really can sing?"

And so... against all odds, we voluntarily put on the dreaded trial versions. Here is how mine went:

Alarm bothered at 4 a.m. the morning of the hearing and hit unconsciously alarm a couple of times when I remembered what day was. She grabbed our pre-packaged lunches and time and protein bars rose 2 hours car before dawn and accelerated in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, which proceeded to join the cast of thousands of applicants already online. (5: 30 am)

After 2 hours online, the sun began to devise and we we had moved a good 20 feet or less.

Finally, intact bracelets and acquired stadium seats, arrived on doors around 9 am and laminated boom cameras taking shot after cheesy shot a crowd very falsely pretending to be ecstatic to be there. (Note aside: is terribly difficult strong when it has been feet for 5 or 6 hours directly with the August Sun hitting on you.)

More time marked by... Some people were singing. Some were blabbering about how big were and how shouldn't even have to try. A type declared he could easily have been in the top 5 finalists last year. It's just that his voice has "a little dry" when made a first test... riiight...

So he sat and sat down, in crowded little Rose Bowl Stadium seats built for skinny short people, baked in the Sun of Southern California until about 1 pm, when they finally called our group number. I was a group of 4 singers damn pretty good with catchy suits and good looks to match. Each of us had our turn of a junior producer in one of the 14 booths lined up on the opposite side of the stadium trying to sing out loud the enough WoW the judge on the neighbouring stands.

He gave Amazing Grace to the best of my ability. Complete with bluesy slides in my own unique agreement I had never heard anyone do before, sure they appreciate my retreat to Otis Redding and Sam Cooke.

But my best effort is not good enough for this producer. In fact, no one in our Group obtained through's. Perhaps it was the heat or dehydration. Perhaps the producer came only was having a bad day. In any case, I went to all that effort for nothing. Or so I thought...

On the way out of the stadium, completely exhausted and sunburned, someone handed me an invitation to try out for what is called a "In line second chance" contest. Jaded a little experience, told me: "Thanks but no thanks," and kept walking.

Leave it to that invitation to sit on my desk for a month before he finally collected and went to the website. When I realized what a cool opportunity was, I had to hurry, because only 9 days left in the contest.

72 Hours fired my hearing. People discover me! My version of the song "Chariot" (Gavin DeGraw) took second place in the category of Audio, made me the Top 10 global finalist in the final round, where I am competing now against 9 other finalists.

This time I am singing another success of Gavin DeGraw called "Don't want to be".

I am still tightened myself, but in the last 3 weeks, it has won more than 1,500 new fans, sent an email to another with the record company executives and I am competing for a prize in cash which will pay more than a real record in a real Studio with a real producer. Not bad for not ever leave the House.

If you are - or ever wanted to be a singer - recommend that the picture is taken online.
