Five tips for practical design of soils
Here are some tips useful ground to really beautify a room:
Tip # 1: If it is laying mosaic floors and want to make the room look larger, using pieces of larger sizes (18 x 18 or older) and put them at an angle of 45 degrees (diamond pattern). That this is not draw your eye to two of each mosaic points giving your floor the illusion of a larger space. And tiles in larger sizes have less grout lines to look for what is not seen as 'busy' on its soil its a larger area as say would make a 12 x 12.
Only took into account that the installation of tiles in a 45 uses more mosaic because there are more cuts to be made.
Tip # 2: If you want a clean and contemporary look, ask your Installer to use the grout lines possible closer, a 1/8 or 3/16 and for natural stone 1/16. Large grout lines give a rustic, earthy appearance. And tiles greater brightness (polished) are contemporary considering heavily grooved and rough giving an aging, worn look.
Tip # 3: Give your floor another trick illusory, lighter colors give the room a more spacious sense while darker colors give you a feel luxuriously and smaller.
Council # 4: there are many patterns available soil, so do not hesitate to use them! Many buyers knew would be obsessing about what all other floors are doing. This is your home, not to any of the other and you must get the word that makes you happy. Don't be afraid to not look like everybody else. It is the question! If you want to differentiate a room and then establish different floors.
Tip No. 5: I am a big fan of using matching or contrasting inserts to transform the soil into a masterpiece. But not many can really create a room. You know, these pieces of deco, listellos and natural stone inserts can cost hundreds of dollars a pair but give your room a unsurpassed look. Now I strongly recommend to make these designs special floors only hire an installer of soil certificates.
Do not try and make them yourself unless you really know what you're doing. I've seen it too many times.
For example, for each insert, you need to make four cuts, one for each mosaic connection. These cuts have to be quite right, otherwise any unevenness blinks at you immediately once its installed. And if you insist on do it yourself, just remember two very important words: wet saw and diamond blade!
